The F-302 is a fighter craft, developed by the United States Government.
The fighter is armed with AIM-120 AMRAAM (Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missile) missiles which have proven effective against Wraith Darts on more than one occasion. The craft is propelled by two large engines at the rear, with one large booster rocket in the center.
Originally intended to be capable of entering hyperspace, the naquadria used to power the hyperdrive was unstable, preventing this, although the craft can still enter hyperspace for a few seconds, covering a distance of several kilometres at a time.
The Daedalus class starship has several F-302s as standard, which are stored in starboard flight deck.
